Our Work
What We Do
Arrival Path supports community-based sponsorship to Canada by coordinating people, partners, and processes across jurisdictions. Our role is to help ensure that sponsorship efforts move forward responsibly, lawfully, and with continuity, while respecting existing humanitarian systems and the limits of our role.We focus on coordination, not control; partnership, not substitution; and accountability, not visibility.
How Arrival Path Works
A structured, phased approach designed to prioritize safety, clarity, and responsible coordination.
Step #1
Case Identification & Eligibility Review
We begin by identifying individuals or families who are displaced and potentially eligible for community-based sponsorship to Canada. Each case is reviewed individually to confirm displacement context, protection status, and alignment with legal and humanitarian requirements.Only cases that meet baseline eligibility standards and can be responsibly supported move forward.
Step #2
Partner Consultation & Cost Assessment
For cases that proceed, we consult with trusted partner organizations to assess feasibility, capacity, and estimated sponsorship costs. This phase focuses on understanding financial requirements, partner readiness, and the availability of appropriate sponsor groups. No commitments are made until alignment is confirmed.
Step #3
Fundraising Through Registered Charitable Partners
When fundraising is required, it is conducted through registered charitable organizations authorized to collect and manage funds. This structure ensures transparency, compliance with nonprofit regulations, and responsible stewardship of donor contributions.Arrival Path does not directly hold or manage charitable funds.
Step #4
Sponsor Group & Local Partner Matching
We work to identify suitable sponsorship organizations and community partners in Canada whose location, capacity, and experience align with the specific case. Local presence and readiness are essential to responsible sponsorship and long-term settlement support.
Step #5
Documentation, Submission & Ongoing Coordination
Once sponsorship structures are in place, required documentation is prepared and submitted in coordination with partner organizations. Arrival Path remains engaged throughout the process, supporting communication, follow-up, and coordination as cases progress through review and decision stages. We maintain contact with supported individuals while they remain in third countries, respecting confidentiality and safety at all times.
Step #6
Post-Arrival Continuity & Community Connection
Where possible, we assist in connecting newcomers with appropriate resources and remain in communication with community sponsors to support continuity, accountability, and responsible follow-through after arrival. Our involvement adapts based on capacity, partner roles, and community needs.
Important Notice
Arrival Path does not make decisions on protection status, processing timelines, or outcomes. Community-based sponsorship to Canada is a complex legal process involving government review and external authorities. Arrival Path provides coordination and support but cannot guarantee specific results.
